About Harriet Dutson

Hi, I’m Harriet! I’m a self-taught, part-time artist with a big love for watercolours based in the Peak District, UK. I spend my time painting the things that inspire me most—landscapes, animals, bees, fish and plants. I work with soft, calming colours to create gentle pieces that feel peaceful and reflective. From original artwork to prints and greeting cards, I love sharing little snapshots of nature in different ways.

I grew up in the Lake District, and those early years surrounded by lakes, hills and wildlife have shaped so much of what I do now. The stillness of the water, the changing light, and the character of the animals around me are all things I try to capture in my paintings. For me, art is about slowing down, noticing the details, and finding beauty in the simple moments—and I hope that comes through in my work.
